Drum roll please ..... After much deliberation we have decided on her new name. She will be:

Leah Colleen Chen Guang Butz !

Leah - Janice's maiden name is Leahy.

Colleen - Janice's Mother's Name

Chen Guang - Her Chinese name meaning, " Light of the early morning sun".

Butz - Self explanatory and unavoidable.

We received a little more information about Leah today.

Here is what we learned:

On November 16, 2009 she had a physical examination. At that time she was 13.42 lbs and 25.59 inches tall.

Some fun things about her personality:

*Her favorite activity is interacting with other babies.
*Her favorite toy is a doll.
*She is a deep sleeper.
*She has a quiet disposition and a ready smile.
*She is fond of looking at picture books (Yes! I think she will love books like the rest of us!)
*She is obstinate sometimes (uh-oh!)
*She is closest to her caregiver.

Have I mentioned yet we are already in love with this little girl?!

THE JOURNEY BEGINS!!

After almost 4 years of waiting we are honored and overjoyed to announce the newest addition to the Butz family !!

Meet Feng Chen Guang ! (pronounced: fung chun gwon ) Her name means: "Light of the early morning sun ". We are still discussing her American name and hope to decide soon.

Chen Guang was born on April 8th, 2009 and is from the Jiangxi Province currently living at the Feng Xin County Welfare Institute. We are anticipating Traveling to pick her up in about 6 to 8 weeks. We will be getting more information and pictures in the next few days and will post them as soon as we can.
